Fraud Prevention Manager manages a team of analysts responsible for the detection, prevention, and mitigation of fraudulent transactions. Develops cross-functional initiatives to proactively detect and prevent fraud from occurring. Being a Fraud Prevention Manager approves and implements recommendations for process and procedure improvements. Reviews and implements best practices in the fraud prevention industry. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Fraud Prevention Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Fraud Prevention Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Health Education Program Manager – Full-time

    Job Summary: The Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington (POB) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the improvement and preservation of sight by providing services, education, advocacy, and innovation. POB programs address vision health equity in the D.C. Metropolitan community. POB is seeking a full-time Health Education Program Manager to be accountable for managing the development, implementation, operation, and daily coordination of assigned programs. Duties would include but not limited to ensuring program goals are met, measured, analyzed, evaluated, and reported. This growth-oriented opportunity will make a significant impact on the community.

    Job Location; Capitol Hill, 5-minute walk from Union Station, Hybrid Remote

    Salary Range: $55,000- $60,000

    Responsibilities:

     Management of assigned program(s). This includes development, implementation, operation, database management, and basic evaluation.

     Provide planning, coordination, logistical support, and follow up for all program needs (e.g., schedule health events and meetings, secure travel arrangements, maintain meeting agendas).

     Manage multiple ongoing projects with various deliverables.

     Develop and lead a volunteer-staffed eye health education program.

     This position requires cross functional management of program staff and volunteers of different levels.

     Assist in developing educational and training materials as appropriate to the programs.

     Facilitate health education workshops, health fairs, community events, conferences, and meetings.

     Develop measurable communication program media (e.g., articles, newsletters,

    presentations, brochures, website content, blog postings), with guidance from senior leadership.

     Explore and coordinate with community partners, including community residents, nonprofits, for-profits, government agencies, schools/school districts, and other health care organizations.

     Lead needs assessments, preparing reports, and implementing recommendations on additional equitable, evidence-based vision health programs for the Washington, DC Metropolitan area with guidance from senior leadership.

     Set, monitor and maintain project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures; create and manage internal project team calendar.

     Periodic weekend and evening work may be required.

     Perform other duties and projects, as required.

     Program development and management experience preferred.

     Knowledge of program management and development procedures

     Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general public health periodicals, professional journals, regulations.

     Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

     Bilingual is a plus.

     Spanish-speaking is a plus.

     Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Google Suite

     Salesforce proficiency is a plus.

     Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.

    Qualifications:

     US Citizen

     Bachelor’s degree in social work, Public Health, Public Administration or related field, and 2-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree a plus.

     Must have a valid driver’s license in the DC metro area.
