Within O&T, the US Personal Banking (USPB) and Wealth Operations organization provides global operational support to deliver a seamless client experience across service channels. USPB and Wealth Operations is a unified operations team responsible for the servicing and operations support for USPB business and Citi Global Wealth (CGW) Operations.

    USPB and Wealth Operations has a unique opportunity to leverage its consumer relationships and footprint, retail partnerships, state of the art technology, and leading consumer banking position to deliver customer value in a targeted and impactful way. Citi is optimizing its relationship structure to realize a fully integrated delivery model and partnerships to deliver a remarkable customer experience, all while effectively managing and minimizing risk to our clients and our franchise. With the changing global environment, Citi reprioritized focus on financial crimes, creating a new Financial Crimes and Fraud Prevention (FCFP) organization. This fusion will streamline accountability and responsibility for Risk & Control activities and deliver process consistency to protect the firm against emerging financial crime risks. FCFP is responsible for early detection of ever-evolving fraud threats to our clients and business to minimize fraud losses and prevent future attacks through intelligence-led fraud management approach.

    Position Description:

    The Head of FCFP Analytics & Modeling will support the planning, prioritization, delivery and ongoing direction of data, fraud strategy development, rule implementation, information management, and technology solutions to support a comprehensive USPB and Wealth Operations business. This function leads the analytics, data, and modeling team within FCFP, operating in partnership with Business and Enterprise Technology, Financial Crimes and Fraud Prevention Operations, Policy, Risk, Audit, and multiple stakeholders at all levels of management. Responsible for fostering a culture of control, customer centricity and accountability by leading efforts to anticipate business, client, operational and regulatory needs through the identification and delivery of solutions and capabilities to mitigate risk, maximize effectiveness, and enhance the client experience.

    This role is responsible for leading the FCFP Analytics & Modeling organization for the Operations & Technology (O&T) business (1st Line) at Citi Bank globally. The role manages multiple teams that develop fraud loss mitigation strategies and fraud capture models, own implementation tools and technologies, and execute AML/KYC Data Journey Validation programs for successful business operations while upholding high standards for the customer experience. This role requires deep expertise in leading enterprise level change and strategy development, managing multiple teams of senior professionals, and a broad and comprehensive understanding of the different data systems, theories, and practices.

    A thorough understanding of Program & Project Management, Platform & Data Analytics, combined with a practical grounding in AML Regulation & Policy, Sanctions and Anti-Bribery is expected. Experience delivering transformative change in Financial Services (Banking, Cards and Wealth products, services, and associated processes) is required. This position will require regular interaction with both internal and external senior stakeholders, including regulators and executive leadership and will be required to drive change initiatives to meet regulatory and policy standards, enhance customer experience and operational effectiveness, and mitigate risk. Excellent communication skills required to influence a wide range of audiences. The position requires ability to balance short-term requirements with long-term vision, and the fortitude to know when one needs to act versus plan.

    This position will report to the Head of Global Financial Crimes and Fraud Prevention.

    The successful candidate will be able to execute against these core responsibilities:

    • Ownership of Data & Analytics relevant to fraud, AML, and KYC activities across the customer and product lifecycle - Analytics and modeling, Data remediation (3rd Parties), Population Management, Scorecards, DJV and Trigger Analysis.

    • Deliver the planning, prioritization, implementation, and ongoing direction of FCFP infrastructure, strategies, models, data, information management and technology solutions.

    • Partner within FCFP organization and across Business functional partners including Technology to ensure operational Platform Management and Data Analytics & Execution to identify, prioritize, deliver solutions and capabilities to meet regulatory and policy standards, enhance customer experience and operational effectiveness and mitigate risk.

    • Manages all FCFP models (both in-house models and vendor models), oversees model development, model deployment, working with Model Governance, Legal/Compliance/Fair Lending to stay comply with all model risk requirements.

    • Responsible for development and management of the fraud risk prevention operating framework, through which the team (1st Line) executes their day-to-day responsibilities of Fraud Loss Mitigation and protecting customer experience. The framework ensures that full management oversight is in place for all forms of Fraud Risk (External/Internal), covering all products and channels and with particular focus on emerging risks and business strategic direction.

    • Data governance, data quality/measurement, driving the resolution for system issues across the platform related to Releases, Testing, Issue Management, and Simplification including strengthening Analytics capabilities.

    • Appropriately measure key performance indicators measuring regulatory compliance, client experience, efficiency, and effectiveness to drive continuous improvements to quality of data, control reporting and associated metrics to increase consistency and support Platform expansion.

    • Partnering with Technology and Business stakeholders to ensuring that platforms appropriately support full compliance to applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

    • Recruiting, developing, and retaining a highly effective diverse team

    • Design, implement, execute, and coordinate change management process, and framework for product change, execution, and post-implementation monitoring. Facilitate formal communication process with stakeholders to ensure timely escalation where required.

    Qualifications

    • 15 years’ experience in delivering Business Transformation strategies enabled by emerging data analytics and technology with specific focus in Financial Crimes and Fraud Prevention Banking / Wealth Management.

    • 15 years of people and organization leadership

    • Demonstrated strategic analytical skills in a leadership capacity; ability to think strategically, communicate effectively, and act ethically on behalf of the business

    • Strong understanding of relevant business processes and data segments

    • Exceptional relationships and knowledge of the regulatory framework and entities effecting both regulatory and operational risk standards and activities

    • Technology savvy – conversant with current and emerging tools and capabilities that create business value including risk mitigation, client experience and operational efficiencies

    • Program and Project Management experience 

    • Strong PC skills including Word, Excel, Power Point., Microsoft Project
