    Duration: Full Time/Permanent

    Key Requirements

    • Must be a current, permanent FBI employee
    • Must be able to obtain an SCI clearance
    • Some travel maybe required
    • Selectee will be required to complete a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450 annually
    • Selectee will be required to complete form FD-887, Request for Access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)

    Major Duties

    • Plans work to be accomplished, sets priorities, and prepares completion schedules of work to be performed. Remains constantly aware of the status and progress of work, adjusting priorities, and shifting assignments and personnel as necessary, in order to meet changes in workload and ensure deadlines are met.
    • Assigns and distributes work to subordinates based on difficulty level, priority, requirements of assignment, employee capabilities, and current workload. Explains work requirements, priorities, and deadlines for completion of assignments. Furnishes special instructions for non-routine or involved assignments.
    • Discusses work performance with employees, providing counseling when necessary.
    • Resolves routine personnel and/or administrative problems encountered, referring the more serious, involved situations to superior personnel, with recommended course of action to take. Approves annual/sick leave and vacation schedules, ensuring that adequate office coverage is provided at all times.

    • Orally communicated to provide advice and guidance relative to work operations; made recommendations; and/or resolved issues among employees, supervisors, and/or managers.
    • Resolved conflicts and disagreements in a constructive manner to prevent counterproductive confrontations.

    GS 10: Applicants must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS 9 grade level. Specialized Experience is defined as follows:

    • Provided supervision/leadership to maintain an efficient flow of work functions, improved operations, and/or streamlined processes and procedures.
    • Orally communicated to provide advice and guidance relative to work operations; made recommendations; and/or resolved issues among employees, supervisors, and/or managers.
    • Counseled employees on behavior, resolved grievances; and tracked progress according to established rules, regulations, and procedures.
    • Identified and analyzed problems associated with personnel or work functions and generated possible resolutions.


    Education may not be substituted for specialized experience at these grade levels.
