Fraud Investigation Officer investigates fraudulent/illegal activities perpetrated by customers or employees. Designs and implements programs to prevent such activities and to recover any incurred losses. Being a Fraud Investigation Officer works with local, state and federal authorities with matters relating to fraudulent/illegal activities. Require a bachelor's degree. The Town of Aberdeen Police Department is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill a full-time Police Officer position. Interested applicants should possess the following requirements:
- High school graduate from an accredited high school or have a GED
- At least 20 years of age
- Honorable discharge, if veteran
- Must possess a valid NC Driver’s License
- Must be of good moral character, have no felony convictions and committed no incidents of domestic violence
- Successful completion of the NC Basic Law Enforcement Training Program
- Possess a General Law Enforcement Certificate
- Pass a Pre-employment Physical Fitness Test
- Pass a Pre-employment Physical
- Pass a Psychological Exam
- Pass a Pre-employment Drug Screen
- Pass a Pre-employment Credit Check
The successful applicant will be assigned to work rotating shifts that will involve day and night work. Starting salary: $37,469 and within (3) years of employment the Career Development Program can provide an increased salary up to $43,375. Benefits include longevity pay, member of Local Governmental Employees Retirement System, 5% 401-k contribution, health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, retiree medical insurance paid up to 50% upon retirement, take home vehicle, and paid vacation and sick leave.
