In this role, you must excel at creating and closing new opportunities through developing lasting relationships within the construction industry, focusing on Fire & Life Safety Systems. Utilizing a consultative approach to selling, you will become the trusted advisor to your customer.

YOUR OBJECTIVES:

Objective 1: Build Your Book

• Be fearless, persuasive, and focused on developing lasting relationships
• Hunt for new business, through cold-calling, emails, jobsite and client visits
• Create your sphere of influence and generate referrals; engage in networking events
• Research upcoming construction projects in your market
• Prioritize and organize daily activities utilizing CRM Software

Objective 2: Generate Proposals

• Become an expert in local building and fire code, and Fire & Life Safety Systems
• Review project documents, estimate project cost and generate proposal
• Leverage your expertise to provide competitive pricing, by identify whether the proposed project design adheres to local codes
• Beat your competitor by engaging with your team internally and communicating alternative value added approaches to your customer

Objective 3: Close the Deal

• Have the ability to tolerate long-sale cycles
• Engage internal resources and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to assist in closing
• Develop rapport with clients and become their preferred partner

Objective 4: Manage the Relationship

• Be your client’s liaison as their primary contact
• Quarterback the internal team, delegate administrative task, and follow up with superior customer service
• Generate repeat business from your existing clients and continue to source new
• Get paid on renovations and changes on your previously completed projects

Required Skills/Abilities:

• B2B Construction Sales experience, required.
• Demonstrated track record of sales success in a competitive bidding environment.
• Comfortable working independently
• Strong intellectual curiosity with a desire to continuously learn and improve.
• Self-motivated to set and achieve goals.
• Highly competitive.
• Balance customer relationships with selling profitable projects
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Education and Experience:

• Required, 4 years of successful B2B Commercial Construction sales experience.
• Preferred, 4-year Bachelor Degree or 2 year associate with 6 years successful B2B

This is a Hybrid work opportunity. Hybrid defined as, working within proximity of your territory with the ability to set your own schedule. No established "in-office" days. Must be actively engaged with clients both through Phone, Virtual and in-person meetings, as required.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
