Fork Lift Operator operates fork lifts to stack and retrieve goods, supplies and materials. Responsible for maintaining inventory and for production area cleanliness. Being a Fork Lift Operator documents and maintains inventory records. Typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Fork Lift Operator typically reports to a supervisor. Summary:- Pick and stage materials for production
- Essential Functions: Accurately pull parts from pick tickets and stages materials for production.
- Safely operate various pieces of warehouse equipment (Cherry Pickers, Forklifts etc.).
- Assist in physical inventories and cycle counting as directed. Communicate issues regarding part discrepancies to the Warehouse Lead.
- Actively participate as a member of the team to move the team toward completion of goals.
- Perform cleaning and maintenance duties as may be directed by the Warehouse Lead.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:- GED or High School Diploma.
- Proficient understanding of basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- At least 6 months experience operating a forklift or reach truck.
- Possess strong interpersonal and customer relation skills
- Preferred Working knowledge of MRP or ERP systems and Microsoft Office programs, Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Ability to be flexible to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Must pass background check and drug test
- Safety/Physical requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Requires bending, stooping and standing.
- Must be able to stand from six (6) to eight (8) hours per day. (Overtime may extend time period.)
- Good visual and spatial perception.
- Follow established safety policies including, but not limited to, mobile equipment, PPE, emergency response, HAZCOM, first-aid response, etc.
