Fork Lift Operator operates fork lifts to stack and retrieve goods, supplies and materials. Responsible for maintaining inventory and for production area cleanliness. Being a Fork Lift Operator documents and maintains inventory records. Typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Fork Lift Operator typically reports to a supervisor. The Fork Lift Operator possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. POSITION REQUIREMENTS | The Must Haves
- Warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
- Standup Forklift Experience
- Able to work in cold environment. Freezer suit is provided when working in freezer
- Must have keen focus on safety. Able to identify best-practices and implement actions to remediate issues.
- Use best practices while selecting. Reading descriptions of product and selecting correct product.
- Ability to use technology.
- Food distribution background preferred but not required.
- Must be respectful of others, and able to verbally communicate.
- Able to think quickly and stay focused on solutions
- Be a great listener when interacting with employees and supervisors.
- Works well with others, likes to problem-solve
- Dependable, punctual and work as scheduled
- Reliable transportation
- Pass pre-employment drug screen & background check
