May require 2-4 years of related work experience. Additionally, Forest and Conservation Worker relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The Texas Conservation Corps’ (TXCC) Summer Youth Program is an AmeriCorps opportunity specifically for Alabama-Coushatta members to work on local habitat restoration projects.
TXCC is searching for Alabama-Coushatta Members to join Summer Youth Crew positions for 900 hour half-time terms on Alabama-Coushatta tribal lands!
Participants engage in hands-on conservation projects on public lands, coastal regions, National Parks and recreational areas across the Central Southern United States. The Conservation Corps experience builds leadership skills, connection with community, and prepares young people with skills needed to enter the workforce with a strong work ethic and sense of service. Members will work on trail improvement and habitat restoration projects, and will engage in environmental education on USFS and Alabama Coushatta tribal lands.

Average Age Range: Crew Members range from ages 16-19 and Crew Leaders range from ages 21-28
Available Positions: 1 crew leader & 5 crew members
Term Dates: 6/3/2024 - 8/2/2024 (300 HOUR TERM: Minimal-time)
