Forest Aide gathers and analyzes data regarding overall condition of forest tracts. May provide supervision to seasonal workers. Being a Forest Aide educates visitors on forest policies and regulations. Requires a high school diploma with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Additionally, Forest Aide has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. High School Teacher
Duties:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in the assigned subject area(s)
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students
- Provide academic advising and guidance to students
- Utilize effective behavior management strategies to create a positive classroom environment
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback on assignments and assessments
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement educational programs
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and communicate regularly with parents/guardians
- Stay updated on current educational trends and best practices in teaching
- Provide tutoring and additional support to students as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid teaching certification in the subject area(s) being taught
- Experience working with high school students, preferably in a classroom setting
- Strong knowledge of the subject matter and ability to effectively teach it to students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment
- Proficient in using technology for instructional purposes
- Knowledge of special education, physical education, academic advising, public speaking, library services, childhood development, and behavior management is a plus
