Foreign Students Director recruits and advises foreign students enrolled in the university/college. Coordinates academic programs and oversees all aspects of foreign student activities. Being a Foreign Students Director helps international students on the transition to university/college life. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Foreign Students Director typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Foreign Students Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. To be a Foreign Students Director typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Summary of Job Duties:

    The primary responsibilities of the Assistant Director include academic program administration, applicant review and admission, supervision of advisors/site coordinators, student recruitment, and student support from enrollment to graduation for the MS in Operations Management (MSOM), MS in Engineering Management (MSEM) and associated graduate certificates and micro-certificates.


    Qualifications:

     

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Master's or higher degree in business, industrial engineering, management-related or education related field

    • Ten years relevant experience

     

    Applicable equivalencies may be considered.


    Preferred Qualifications

    • Doctorate degree

    • Ability to teach MSOM or MSEM courses

     

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Knowledge of work-related subject areas, computers, and Microsoft Office software applications including Word processing and spreadsheet skills

    • High level oral/written presentation and problem-resolution skills

    • Ability to prepare, present, and review oral and written information and reports

    • Ability to research and analyze related work program information

    • Ability to develop, recommend, interpret, and apply policies and procedures

    • Ability to communicate with staff, faculty, and students

    • Attention to detail regarding academic records, contracts, and publications

    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and demands in a high-volume work setting


    Additional Information:

     

    This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.
