Job Overview:
The Southern Maine Planning and Development Commission (SMPDC) is seeking an organized, independent, and motivated Office Manager/Accounting Assistant. This full-time position will primarily support the Executive Director and the Finance Director as well as provide general assistance to a staff of 15 people. The chosen candidate will work as part of a tight knit team assisting communities on actions such as climate change planning, transportation, economic development and land use and more. This will be a hybrid position with both in-office work and the opportunity for remote work. The position might require occasional attendance at night meetings.

Education and Experience
The Office Manager/Accounting Assistant must have training and proven experience with Accounting or Bookkeeping. The preferred candidate would have a minimum of an Associate’s degree and three to five years of experience.
