    The Role

    Xos is hiring an experienced Forecast Materials Planner to join the Supply Chain Team to manage Material Requirements Planning (MRP) activities from NPI to production. This role will work with a cross functional team to create a plan for every part originating from Production requirement, demand generation, inventory monitoring, Parts ordering to delivery. This role will be supporting the vehicle and/or Battery production lines.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage material planning activities, including KPI development and execution.
    • Develop and create supplier forecast needs for a given period of time in order to support NPI and production builds.
    • Ensure the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for manufacturing operations.
    • Work closely with Program Management, Engineering, Production Control and Global Supply Management to clearly communicate the material plans, potential supply risks, and opportunities for improvements.
    • Coordinate efforts within the cross functional team for all activities relating to the change management process to ensure a smooth transition for engineering changes.
    • Track production volume and monitor customer demand patterns and purchasing trends.
    • Work with inventory management to execute inventory requests and procure parts for production.
    • Work with Warehouse Management team to manage inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellation; work with Buyers and expedite vendor orders as needed
    • Collaborate with engineering and supply chain on the release of work orders for build and ensure part demand is accurate and reflected in inventory.
    • Communicate part status and estimated completion dates to leadership upon request.
    • Actively support productivity, logistics and supply chain improvement efforts and work to streamline processes.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • BA or Masters in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Inventory management, Industrial Engineering, Operations or applicable discipline
    • 5 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or related experience.
    • Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and supply chain management required
    • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to clearly communicate your position throughout the organization
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and material management systems; previous ERP and Oracle/NetSuite experience preferred
    • Proven ability to lead and manage work teams
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • A team player attitude and are passionate about your responsibilities
