Additionally, Forecast Analyst typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Forecast Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. This position requires the ability to work in person at the St. Petersburg facility from Monday to Friday. Pay is $80,000-$90,000 per annum, depending on experience. EOE & Drug-Free Workplace.Essential Duties and Responsibilities· Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking· Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support· Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews· Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements· Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting· Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts· Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps· Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials· Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards· Evaluate pricing and make recommendations to VP of Finance and President· Assist in the capital budget and expenditure planning processes· Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of financial instruments, market conditions, and trends· Develop reports for tracking/analyze KPI· Review Budget on a monthly basis with VP’s· Margin analysis on productsKnowledge/Skills and Abilities:§ B.S. degree in Finance, Required§ Three to five years of experience preferred§ Experience with enterprise resource planning software§ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is mentioned in virtually any financial analyst job description; familiarity with data query/data management tools is extremely helpful (Access, SQL, Power BI, Business Objects)§ Stay abreast of changes in financial markets and federal tax laws.§ Strong communication and interpersonal skills§ Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks quickly and accurately.§ Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports§ Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow§ High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills§ Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.§ Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently§ Not satisfied with allowing problems to linger; must be a problem solver.§ Excellent communication and presentation skills; be comfortable interacting with executive-level management§ Strong financial modeling experienceGreat Bay Distributors is a locally owned beverage distributor with a $40 million annual impact on the communities we serve: Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, and Citrus Counties.
