Determines the best metrics to use to provide the most accurate representation of the forecast. Being a Forecast Analyst works with other departments within the organization to determine optimal inventory levels. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Forecast Analyst typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Forecast Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Job Description:
Leveraging your expertise in analyzing sales performance, inventory levels, production speed, and deliverable turnaround times, you will forecast market conditions and product demand. Additionally, you will actively engage in purchasing responsibilities, working with finance to ensure efficient and timely procurement to support our operational needs.
To also study the latest industry trends, identifying business opportunities from consumer demands and interests to develop revenue resources to maintain the business' financial stability. To analyze data, make recommendations and comments, and present forecasts to the leadership team for business planning and product development. Regularly reviews sales databases, adding or maintaining new data as available.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of sales performance, inventory levels, production speed, and deliverable turnaround times to forecast future business outcomes.
- Utilize insights into economic and market trends, employing research, statistics, and data for computer modeling to inform and validate predictions.
- Manage inventory databases and oversee production timelines
- Collaborate with the logistics team to track shipments to distribution centers, ensuring customer delivery dates are met.
- Actively engage in the purchasing process, ensuring timely procurement of goods and services to meet operational requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and make strategic purchasing decisions to optimize stock levels.
- Regularly review and update sales databases, incorporating new data for continuous accuracy and relevance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proven 7 years of experience in business/technology forecasting, data analysis, and financial modeling (SD-WAN forecasting is a plus)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools and techniques.
- Proficient in SFDC, NetSuite, Confluence/Jira, Microsoft Office and Google Suites
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex analyses and insights effectively to the leadership team.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to adapt to evolving business needs and industry trends.
