SUMMARY:
To provide customer service and ensure guest satisfaction while performing all required duties of the job. To aid in supervision of all Food and Beverage staff, maintain food standards and ensure cleanliness of all areas of the restaurant. To also work with your fellow GRC employee’s together as a team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Food and Beverage Supervisor assists in the scheduling of Food and Beverage staff and in tracking all supplies and ordering any inventory needed. He/she will assist in keeping the department adequately staffed, which includes helping to hire, train, cross-train, discipline, motivate, council, monitor productivity and ensuring there is coverage for all shifts. The Food and Beverage Supervisor also assists in administering training techniques in customer service and monitors its usage and does any other duties assigned by the Food and Beverage Director. Employee shall comply with all BSA/AML regulations, reporting, and training requirements – Specifically those in the Grand River Casino Written System of Internal Controls (and appendices) for BSA/AML Compliance.
PREREQUISITES:
Must be 21 years of age or older. High school diploma or GED certificate preferred, but not required. Additional Food and Beverage experience will be accepted in lieu of education. Must qualify for a Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Non-gaming license. Must have 20/20 corrected vision and not be color blind. Must have the ability to pass TIPS training, South Dakota Serve Safe Course, and to obtain a food handler’s card. Must have great customer service skills.
EDUCATION: High school graduate or GED.
EXPERIENCE:
One year experience in the restaurant field preferred. 6 months of supervisory experience preferred. 3 months of cash register experience preferred, cash register system a plus. Must possess knowledge of basic office computer programs, such as Microsoft® Word; Microsoft® Excel and Microsoft® Outlook Express.
PHYSICAL: Must be physically able to withstand continued walking and standing for periods of 8 hours or more and be able to withstand bending, reaching, grasping and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
