    SSOE Group is seeking a talented Process Engineer with Food & Beverage industry experience for our award-winning Food and Consumer Products Group. An ideal candidate will have experience in the food and beverage manufacturing industry, be a self-starter with clear and concise communication skills. The Process Engineer will be responsible for detailed phases of engineering work on major projects or total engineering work on projects of smaller or moderate scope.

    Responsibilities

    A Typical Day Might Include:

     

    • Performs detailed phases of engineering work on major projects or total engineering work on projects of smaller or moderate scope.
    • May devise new approaches and solutions to problems encountered and communicates changes to the team.
    • May supervise and coordinate the work of less experienced engineers and designers and be responsible for checking a portion or all of the drawings completed on the project within the discipline.
    • May take part in client contact and business development activities.
    • Meets with client to define project scope, present project progress, and assure client satisfaction.
    • May write portions or all of the specifications and assist in or prepare total cost estimates.
    • Develops engineering concepts and presentations.
    • Coordinates work with other disciplines.
    • Keeps current on new design methods and ideas.
    • Provide clear direction and expectations to designers and contractors.
    • Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.
    • Ability to travel at approximately 20%.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications You’ll Need on Day One:

      • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, which qualifies for licensure in the state of practice, is required.
      • 4 years' experience in the Food & Beverage industry, with sanitary process design experience.
      • Brewery or Distillery industry experience strongly preferred.
      • Working knowledge of CAD (Revit or AutoCAD or equivalent) preferred. 
      • A solid understanding of P&ID development.
      • Self-motivation, proven creative thinking and excellent problem-solving skills.
      • Proven ability to define and clarify scope of work and basis of design, anticipate issues, propose options and find cost-effective or schedule-driven solutions.
      • Practical field-experience with active involvement in construction areas preferred.
      • Oral and written skills that are adequate to communicate with the project team and clients as required.
      • Salary Range: $90,000-$112,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
