Parking Supervisor (Charleston Beaches)
Position Summary

Supervises staff during scheduled shift. Uses current technology to monitor and enforce compliance of City parking ordinances.
Serves as the main point of contact for staff. Advocates good will for the City of Folly Beach by providing excellent customer service to Folly Beach residents and guests. Shows a commitment to quality service by using knowledge of parking ordinances, parking options and rates, and events and amenities to assist guests and residents. Creates a positive image of the City of Folly Beach by maintaining a professional, empathetic, and composed demeanor when interacting with guests and residents.
Duties and Responsibilities

· Must be able to lift/move signs weight 30 pounds
· Must be able to sit / stand/ walk for extended periods

· Demonstrates knowledge of Oceanfront area, events, and amenities
· Facilitates effective communication with guests, staff, and managemen
· Uses e-mail and text as a daily communication tool
· Is able to use technology to monitor and enforce compliance of city parking ordinances and regulations
· Ensures that all employees are following company policies and procedures
· Has the responsibility of coaching, explaining, counseling, and encouraging employees when they are having performance issues
· Has the responsibility of opening facilities as needed
· Makes certain that all employees are equipped at start of their shift
· Handles the return of equipment and cash banks at end of shift
· Assists with cash audits
· Conducts daily meetings at shift start to advise staff of events, policy changes et c.
· Completes daily employee assessment forms
· Practices excellent customer service skills to resolve guest and employee concerns
· Promotes public and resident safety by maintaining a state of awareness of physical hazards and suspicious activity
· Relieves staff for breaks
· Inspects vehicles/equipment at start and end of shift and reports any issues to management
· Demonstrates knowledge of parking options, rules, and regulations
· Assists with and educates guests on the operation of parking meters
· Is an example of professionalism
· Safely operates company vehicle
