GENERAL SUMMARY:
Summary:
Supervises the daily activities for the Retail Food Service Workers in the Retail department. May also performs a variety of duties related to the preparation and serving of food to customers at the Java City convenience store within Bayhealth Retail Services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Prepares work schedules and makes adjustments based on the needs of the operation. Sets up menu board reflecting current menu on a daily basis.
2. Prepare menus and items at the convenience store within Bayhealth Retail Services to include coffee, tea, pastries, grab-and-go sandwiches and salads. Ensure beverages, desserts, and condiments are stocked. Serves food using proper portion sizes and serving utensils.
3. Ensure all food temperatures are taken according to HACCP training and properly documented. Temperatures should be taken at the beginning of each meal period and every thirty minutes thereafter, including beginning and ending temperature. Immediately notifies cook, supervisor/manager of any improper temperatures or concerns with food.
4. Responsible for cash register and reporting any shortages or overages to management. Over rings/voids are to be documented on register tape and placed in the register drawer.
5. Ensure a high level of sanitation in kept in all areas. Ensure proper cleaning of all areas and follow proper floor care cleaning by keeping floors free of debris or wetness. Ensure the cleaning sign off log is completed by the staff daily by end of each shift.
6. . All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities
