Food Services Manager oversees the daily operations of the organization's food service function. Monitors inventory levels and purchases food, kitchen equipment, and other supplies as needed. Being a Food Services Manager provides related training and supervises service staff. Establishes quality standards for foods and maintains cleanliness of the facilities in accordance with state or local regulations. Additionally, Food Services Manager may require an associate degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Food Services Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. POSITION SUMMARY
Coordinate, manage and oversee the operation of campus food services, including the kitchen and dining hall. Assure the preparation of nutritious meals for those in residence and childcare staff.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education/Training: High School Diploma or equivalent, 21 years of age, training in nutrition and a working knowledge of Health Guidelines. ServSafe certification or willing to obtain certification within first 6 months of hire.
Have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Must be able to pass a background check per AR DCFS minimum state and federal standards (to include fingerprinting), and child maltreatment background check, pass pre employment drug screen and physical.
Experience: One-year experience cooking for large groups.
