    The fundamental reason this position exists is to perform food preparation and service related tasks.� The food service environments include areas such as concessions, fast food, special events, and catering events. The work responsibilities of this classification are: performs inventory and cashier duties; cooks and serves food items and/or meals; cleans and maintains the kitchen and dining area; and contributes to department objectives. ��The Food Services Worker I is supervised by the Food Services Worker II and the Food Services Supervisor.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Six months of food preparation experience (other than salad bar preparation) that includes making money transactions. NOTE:� Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.

    Special Requirements

    Must be willing to submit to criminal background check. Work will include nights, weekends and holidays.� Must have and maintain a valid Alabama Driver’s License and insurable driving record as needed to operate City owned vehicles to transport food items and supplies. AGE REQUIREMENT:�Must be at least 21 years of age and able to serve alcoholic beverages.

    Kind of Examination
