The Executive Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for ensuring the F&B operations deliver a consistent, high level of service and quality of products based on established company standards and guests’ expectations. This position will involve working collectively with the Executive Chef to develop strategic F&B goals and translate them into tactical plans, as well as provide leadership to ensure goals are attained. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, a keen understanding of culinary and beverage trends, and a proven track record of driving revenue and guest satisfaction in a multi-outlet environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement long-range strategic plans for all F&B operations to drive revenue growth, enhance guest satisfaction, and maintain operational excellence.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef on menu creation and development considering factors such as product availability, food and service costs, marketing conditions, and business volume.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the guest experience through recommendations on service and product improvement keeping national and regional F&B trends in mind.
- Focus on food and beverage marketing and guest service delivery efforts that build the loyalty of existing customers while also attracting new ones.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service across all outlets, conducting regular audits and inspections to ensure maximum sales growth and profit potential while maintaining guest satisfaction.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving initiatives to maximize profitability without compromising quality.
- Lead, inspire, and mentor a diverse and effective team of front of house F&B professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to source the highest quality ingredients and products at competitive prices.
- Foster positive working relationships with intercompany managers and external leaders in the local hospitality industry.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in hospitality management or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in food and beverage leadership role in a multi-outlet environment.
- Experience of 10 years in high-end hotels and/or fine dining restaurants.
- Proven track record of managing efficient and effective F&B operations, services, and programs.
- Advanced knowledge of F&B: products, recipes, categories, programs, origins, and trends. An emphasis on beverage is a plus.
- Experienced in systems such Point of Sales, Scheduling, Procurement, etc. Experience with Aloha or Open Table is a plus.
- A strong financial acumen including experience in: P&L Management, budgeting, forecasting, controls, and financial performance optimization.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of culinary trends, techniques, and best practices
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
