The Avalon of Auburn Hills is recruiting for a hospitality focused Life Enrichment Coordinator for our Memory Care Neighborhood to join our team! This role is responsible for the planning, coordinating, and directing of a wide and varied scope of activities and programming which meet the spiritual, emotional, intellectual, vocational, social, physical, and environmental needs of the residents.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Director of Memory Care:

• Leads daily activity efforts in memory care programming, consistent with Heartfelt Connections Memory Care Program.
• Provides life enriching activities utilizing the Heartfelt Connections Memory Care Program.
• Utilizes training tools consistent with the Heartfelt Connections Memory Care Program Orientation and Education Trainer Manual and Workbook.
• Utilizes the Playbook and Activities Recipe Book on a daily basis.
• Promote a healthy community culture for all residents and employees. This is a whole-person approach to health and wellness which includes eight dimensions of wellness: Emotional, Environmental, Health Services, Intellectual, Physical, Social, Spiritual and Vocational. Through these efforts we can ensure and exceed residents’ wellness needs relating to their mind, body and soul, which may also have a positive effect on the employees, as a result.
• Provide individual and group educational opportunities for residents in the area of disease prevention and management in the holistic spirit of the Lifestyle and Health Services Wellness Program.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

• High school diploma or general education degree
• Knowledge of and experience with program facilitation and activity program development
• Prefer a current Basic First Aid and CPR certification
