Floral Designer designs and fashions live, cut, dried, and artificial floral and foliar arrangements for a variety of events. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with at least 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Floral Designer is familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. ```Duties```
- Create floral arrangements for various occasions such as weddings, birthdays, and anniversaries
- Assist customers in selecting the right flowers and arrangements for their needs
- Maintain inventory of flowers, plants, and other floral supplies
- Arrange and display flowers in a visually appealing manner
- Process customer orders and payments using a cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues
- Keep the shop clean and organized
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations
```Experience```
- Previous experience as a florist or in a similar role is required WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED IF YOU DO NOT HAVE EXPERIENCE.
- Knowledge of different types of flowers, plants, and floral arrangements
- Familiarity with retail math and cash handling procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and arrange floral displays
- Basic knowledge of landscape maintenance to care for potted plants
