Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and creative Floral Designer / Shop Assistant to join our small team at Town & Country Flowers, a luxury hospitality florist. You will be responsible for creating exquisite floral arrangements and play a crucial role in maintaining exceptional standards by assisting our floral design team with daily tasks.

This position is part-time with a competitive hourly rate based on experience. Starting at 10-15 hours/week, with potential for additional hours.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and creating stunning floral arrangements for various hotel spaces, including lobbies, restaurants, event venues, and guest rooms, in accordance with the hotel's aesthetic standards.
• Assisting the floral design team in processing and conditioning fresh flowers and foliage
• Keeping abreast of current trends and techniques in floral design, and incorporating innovative ideas into your work to continuously elevate the hotel's floral offerings.
• Supporting the team in setting up floral displays within the hotel premises
• Collaborating to brainstorm and execute innovative floral concepts for special occasions and seasonal displays
• Providing friendly and professional customer service when interacting with hotel staff and hotel guests who may inquire about the floral displays

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a floral designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and creativity.
• Proficiency in selecting and working with a variety of flowers and foliage, especially tropicals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work harmoniously within a small team environment
• Flexibility with the work schedule with potentially increased hours, some weekends and holidays
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the floral design field.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
