Job Summary:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for coaching, motivating, and leading a team of Designers/Interior Designers. This position requires the ability to be results-driven, competitive, and financially motivated. The Sales Manager will be required to develop, communicate, and teach sales initiatives and strategies to a team responsible for interacting, assisting, and determining customer’s individual needs while remaining up to date on products, warranties, and pricing. In addition, the Sales Manager will oversee and manage the daily activities of store operations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
· Oversee and manage daily activities of store operations.
· Assess the strengths and areas of improvement of the sales team.
· Provide support for sales team as they work with customers.
· Assist customers with product choices, explaining features and benefits of products, through decorating and design advice and recommendations.
· Keep up to date on the different selection of products offered along with the benefits and warranties provided by each.
· Work with and motivate sales team to meet or exceed sales targets and goals.
· Process quotes, writing sales orders and other applicable paperwork for orders.
· Work through and follow up on jobs through completion.
· Network regularly to include branding the Company and yourself.
· Develop, communicate, and teach sales initiatives and strategies.
· Follow up in a timely and professional manner with customers on all requests or concerns.
· Maintain showroom by keeping samples and displays neat, organized, current, and clean.
· Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with company policies and procedures.
· Establishes, develops, and maintains business relations with current customers and prospective customers to generate new business for the Company’s products and services.
· Coordinate, participate, and represent the Company at various business-related, community-involved, and company-sponsored events to nurture relations with customers, potential sales leads, vendors, and the overall public.
· Manage repairs and claims reported in a timely and organized manner.
· Perform continuous follow-up and communication with sales team.
· Provide reporting to General Sales Manager.
· Participate in educational opportunities as needed to refresh, update, and enhance skills and knowledge that pertains to job responsibilities. This may include workshops, webinars, learning sessions, reading materials, classroom study, etc.
· Monitor processes. Ensure they are efficient and effective to complete work in a timely manner while being accurate.
· Perform additional responsibilities assigned or required.
