FINAL ASSEMBLY SUPERVISOR
Summary:
Overarching responsibilities are to organize final assembly production according to business demand while ensuring adherence to quality, while producing minimal rework and meeting production schedules. Must work intimately with all department leaders and maintain well-versed knowledge of production procedures with the ability to optimize them in the most efficient manner. Remain organized and purposeful with emphasis on problem-solving and providing (and receiving) training for all department employees as needed. Communication must successfully ensure smooth and cost-efficient flow of the company’s production operations.

Responsibilities:
Develop & maintain Standardized Work Instructions used in final assembly
Support the development of Process Failure Modes Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to identify critical risks in the production processes with the Manufacturing Engineers
Work with human resources to develop training programs and hiring strategies for the department
Manage all aspects of employee growth and training through continuous coaching, performance management, and evaluations
Manage final assembly department employees’ output in accordance with production pacing environment and schedule
Responsible for continuous improvement and training (and cross-training) of each employee on the team
Develop a cohesive team structure and environment
Support issue resolution including root cause investigation and corrective action tracking
Efficiently maintain product flow to meet production goals
Maintain a quality control program in assembly
Coordinate daily demands with the material handlers and supervisors
Maintain a clean and safety compliant work environment
Other duties as assigned
Schedule/Salary:
40 hour work week. Saturdays may be required
Overtime as the business needs demand, with manager pre-approval
