Uses hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Being an Floor Assembler tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards. May repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels. Additionally, Floor Assembler keeps daily assembly production records. Maintains a clean and organized work environment. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Floor Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. As a Roll Assembler, you will be responsible for the assembly and disassembly of gearboxes, installing, aligning, adjusting, and fitting subassemblies in additional to setting up and operating boring bar, drill press, milling and honing machine.
Experience working with large, heavy manufacturing equipment with the ability to run overhead crane and forklifts safely and efficiently.
The ability to apply inspection techniques (e.g., formalized inspection standards, inspection instructions, best practices) and use inspection tools efficiently is a requirement to be successful in this position.
Your understanding of how quality impacts the success of the organization and ensuring a quality product is provided consistently while continuing to strive for improvement.

Requirements
