Floor Assembler jobs in Syracuse, NY
Floor Assembler operates and maintains stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures. Uses hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Being an Floor Assembler tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards. May repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels. Additionally, Floor Assembler keeps daily assembly production records. Maintains a clean and organized work environment. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Floor Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. May require 0-1 year of general work experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

Duties and Requirements:
- Assembly of industrial products including: hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic assembly.
- Inspect products for accuracy and quality.
- Must be able to measure with a ruler.
- Meticulous attention to safety and product quality.
- Overtime work as assigned.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Aptitude for math, problem-solving, computers, and mechanics.
- Ability to work and communicate well with others.
- Ability to work in a team environment with other assemblers.
- Proficiency with hand tools.
- Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Able to work either 7:00am - 3:30pm or 8:00am - 4:30pm.
