Position Description
This is an entry-level position that will receive work direction from a supervisor. Provides centralized
scheduling services for company aircraft. Receives requests for transportation from executive offices and
initiates scheduling process by coordinating departures and destination times and locations. Coordinates
assignments or aircraft equipment and crew with company personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Flight Scheduler’s duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Works within company to maintain a culture of safety with efficient procedures that support customer service
- Communicates scheduling information to appropriate company contacts including direct communication with company executives
- With direction, assigns the appropriate aircraft to meet passenger and trip requirements incoordination with aircraft maintenance schedules
- With direction, works with flight crews on international trips to determine flight times, fuel stops, authorized ports of entry/exit, curfews, and handlers
- Will receive guidance on rapid reassignment of flight personnel and aircraft as needed
- Coordinates aircraft handling, catering, fueling and services requirements with the fix base operators
- Schedules ground transportation and accommodations for both flight crews and company travelers as required
- Remains current on resources available and training opportunities to facilitate an effectivescheduling operation
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required, 2 or 4 year degree or equivalent aviation experience desired
- Valid Driver’s License. Valid U.S. Passport.
- Minimum of 1 year scheduling and/or aviation-related experience; knowledge of computerized scheduling system(s) required
- Able to effectively work in a dynamic team environment
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Skill in planning and organizing
- Able to handle frequent changes and react appropriately
- Willing and able to work varied hours and schedules as required
- Ability to understand Federal Aviation Regulations and Company duty time requirements
- Computer and software (including flight scheduling) proficiency
- Administrative expertise
- Able to engage, energize, enable, and execute with proficiency
- Able to embrace change, assume new responsibilities as needed to enhance overall operations
