Full Job Description

We are currently seeking Full-time route charter bus driver for our Kearney to Gibbon contract Monday through Friday (occasional Saturday)

The route:

• Load in Kearney at approximately 3:55am, depart for Gibbon with other pickups on way out of Kearney. Arrive at Gibbon by approximately 4:15-4:20am. Return to Kearney to pick up more passengers. Load at 5:15am and depart for Gibbon with other pickups on the way out of Kearney.
• 6:30am-2:00pm Driver is typically Off Duty.
• Afternoon return times from Gibbon can vary from 2-4pm. Schedule is determined by contracted customer. Typically the route driver is done for the day around 4-6pm daily.

Charter Bus Driver Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Adhere to our company’s professional dress code.
• Be on time to our customer’s loading point.
• Know the route and destinations before departing.
• Drive safely and efficiently within DOT regulations and the speed limit.
• Manage Electronic Logbook and minor paperwork.

Charter Bus Driver Requirements:

• 2 years experience of commercial driving (mandatory).
• A clean motor vehicle record preferred.
• Valid commercial driver’s license, either Class A or B.
• Passenger and Air Brake endorsements.
• Pass a DOT physical, drug test, and background check.
• Must be available Monday through Friday (Occasional Saturday)

What you get:

• $250 per day.
• Sign-on bonus of $750.00 pays after 90 days.
• Insurance stipend of $250.00 per month.
• Safety bonus of $0.05 per mile, paid quarterly.

Our ideal applicant will be:

Safe – Navigator has the highest safety rating with the DOT and safety starts with understanding the equipment through paid training, preparing your route beforehand with the help of our company dispatcher and understanding fundamentals of the FMCSA and DOT regulations. Be able to identify changing road conditions and traffic patterns and adapt accordingly.
