Industrial Emergency Services, LLC ("IES") is a leading provider of fire safety, first responder and emergency response services and staffing. IES' customers include some of the largest and most successful industrial companies in the world, from integrated energy companies to petrochemical, chemical, pipeline and terminal businesses and marine services companies.
IES is currently recruiting experienced Fire Fighter / Paramedics to join our Emergency Response Team for our in-plant contract at Continental Tire located in Clinton, MS. Flexible schedule, Part-time / 12-hour shifts.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Respond to fires and a variety of emergencies, including hazardous materials incidents, rescues, natural disasters, and other emergency situations; suppresses and extinguishes fires, and performs related life and property protection
- Identifies, isolates, and contains hazardous materials in a safe and effective manner
- Drives emergency vehicles as needed and operates related apparatus to respond to emergency calls
- Administering basic first aid and medical support, in accordance with federal, state, local and company policy and regulations
- Assessing the nature and extent of injuries/illnesses to prioritize medical procedures
- Effectively communicating with client and site personnel regarding any worksite incidents, hazards, etc.
- Demonstrating a strong orientation towards teamwork and the ability to understand the importance of team coordinated efforts
- Demonstrating a strong ability to be aware of the constantly changing worksite environment and construction site hazards
- Ensuring that quality, clinical standards are practiced at all times
- Assists in completing and maintaining records related to personnel, incidents, and/or other related items
- Assisting the Site Safety Managers and Personnel in maintaining the most safe and secure work environment possible
- Participates in on-going training and education sessions
- Ensures the proper condition, maintenance, and appearance of apparatus and equipment; prepares and ensures vehicles and apparatus are ready for immediate response
- Participates in the daily functions of the station duties which may include: housekeeping, maintenance activities, and/or performing other related duties
- Performs other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications:
- Paramedic (EMT-P) State Certification and/or National Registry; must provide proof of reciprocity
- Firefighter I (required) Firefighter II (preferred) State Certified
- Previous EMT/Paramedic experience
- Flexible schedule: Days, Nights, Weekend availability required
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification; Any additional certifications are a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with client and employees
