Flight Instructor instructs student pilots in flight procedures and techniques in ground school courses and flight training. Prepares lesson plans. SUAS Flight Instructors/ Operators provide training and services support to various customers. The ideal candidate can work with little or no supervision, is extremely organized, detail-oriented, personable, and can exercise independent judgment.
Duties include, but not limited to:
The Raven and PUMA SUAS Flight Instructor/ Operator will be training customers and operating Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) in field conditions at various locations throughout the United States as well as various overseas locations. Plan and analyze flight missions. Conduct air reconnaissance, surveillance, targeting and acquisition missions. Perform pre-flight, in-flight and post-flight checks and procedures. Maintain situational awareness of the air vehicle and threats to the aircraft from the air and ground. Conduct inventory and perform necessary repairs to ensure that systems are operational for next-day missions. Document critical information for after-action reports.
