Flight Instructor instructs student pilots in flight procedures and techniques in ground school courses and flight training. Prepares lesson plans. We are a flight school based out of Essex County Airport in Fairfield, NJ, in northern New Jersey, just outside of New York City.
Must reside in the NJ or NY area.
At Essex Air our number one priority is safety. We are looking for reliable and safety oriented full time and part time flight instructors to be part of our team.
You are paid by the hour when working.
This is not a salaried position.
Minimum Requirements:
FAA Commercial Pilot's License ASEL and AMEL
Instrument Airplane
FAA Certified Flight Instructor Airplane (CFII preferred)
Previous flight instructor experience a plus.
Must be reliable, have good people skills and be current.
Weekend availability preferred.
Must meet one of the following criteria:
Be a US citizen
A US permanent resident
Have a valid work permit to work in the US.
A visa to reside in the US. (We would not be able to sponsor any CFI applicant for a work permit or a visa).
