Be a part of building the best fighter combat training devices supporting the warfighter! The Client Global Services (BGS) Ownship Air Dominance Team is seeking an experienced Fighter Pilot or Weapon Systems Officer (WSO) to conduct requirements development, integration, and test for the various training devices/simulators across several platforms to include F-15, F/A-18, EA-18G, MQ-25, T-7, and
T-45 in Berkeley, MO and/or Hazelwood, MO. In order to be considered for this position, a candidate Subject Matter Expert (SME) must have experience as a Pilot or WSO in high-performance 4th and/or 5th Gen combat jet aircraft or Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA).
Position Responsibilities:
· The successful candidate will work independently and will assist other members of the team in the performance of day-to-day operations in a fast-paced testing environment.
· Team members create requirements and test procedures and execute testing to ensure the trainer devices correctly simulate the respective fighter/training aircraft, weapon systems, and the operational environment.
· Off shift and weekend work may be occasionally required to meet contractual milestones, objectives, and delivery schedules.
· Occasional domestic or international travel will be required.
· This is a mid-level to senior grade position.
· While waiting for security clearance, SME candidates will work with the Systems Engineering teams to familiarize with the training devices and processes, and, in addition, they will instruct other engineers on how to decipher technical orders and aircrew academics.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
· Experience flying in 4th and/or 5th Generation fighter jet aircraft or RPA’s within the last 6 years.
· Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
· Ability to work flexible hours, overtime, and occasional weekends as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):.
· Experience in an aircraft test environment.
· Technical bachelor’s degree or higher.
Typical Education/ Experience:
· Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD 4 years' related work experience, Master 7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
