Responsibilities:

• Daily inventory monitoring for all truck locations now and future needs.
• Quarterly visits to all locations to complete on site inspections ensure vehicles are in proper condition.
• Verifying all vehicles and trailers are maintained and in good working condition
• Keep track of all vehicle emissions, tags and registrations needed and complete renewals in a timely manner
• Vehicle inspection reports are to be done monthly for all employees in all states.
• Monitor vehicle GPS and toll violations, and communicate non-compliance
• Maintain the forecast for vehicles needed for each department
• Consider lead times and manufacturer purchasing windows when establishing forecasts
• Purchase vehicles with the proper specifications needed for the department or tech type
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers
• Analyze current builds and determine what the best strategy is for future purchases.
• Establish parameters for when to sell/trade assets out of the fleet
• Maximize company capital with best vehicle buying/leasing solutions
• Ensure all vehicles are properly insured
• Track and report running costs by fleet
• Create and maintain accounts with approved service providers
• Enforce required maintenance schedule for all company vehicles/drivers
• Develop and implement strategies to understand and reduce maintenance costs
• Maintain fuel card account
• Run regular audits on fuel purchasing to negate waste or theft
• develop strategy for reducing fuel waste
• Utilize existing tools to their fullest to help scheduling departments with their routing
• Coordinate with the Safety department to set driver training/onboarding for standardized expectations.
• Maintain leases for all properties
• Ensure all properties have proper insurance coverage
• Identify new office/warehouse space for new markets
• Negotiate lease renewals

Requirements:

• Ability to work well with others in a team environment
• Valid state driver's license
• Clean driving record
• Comfortable with driving large vehicles and pulling trailers
• Strong attention to detail
• Extremely reliable and dependable.
• Prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner.
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and thrives under pressure
• Ability to ensure schedules are met and improvise as needed based on unforeseen conditions.
• Previous experience in Fleet Management is a must
