Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Proposal and budget development
• University and sponsor policy and guideline interpretation for faculty members and their lab personnel
• Forecasting expenses and providing regular as well as ad hoc financial reports to Department and faculty
• Reconciling faculty and lab research needs with overall financial picture and making recommendations regarding spending rates
• Monitoring accounts to ensure compliance with federal, University and/or sponsor regulations

Other Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Acting as effort report coordinator;
• Approving payments over certain dollar thresholds;
• Training lab managers and other lab personnel on sponsored research policies and procedures;
• Assist in implementing policies at the department level and recommend process improvements;
• Help to resolve issues related to research funding and related to migrating and/or transferring labs.
• This position will be a liaison to Office of Sponsored Programs and other relevant offices in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• MUST BE LOCAL
• MUST HAVE Pre and Post award experience
• MUST HAVE NSF grant experience
• MUST HAVE 3 years of experience minimum.
