Fleet Administrator jobs in North Carolina
Fleet Administrator assists in administrating and coordinating motor vehicle fleet operations. Understands OSHA, DOT, fleet-specific regulations, licensing, registration, and reporting requirements. Being a Fleet Administrator prepares and maintains accurate records of vehicles, insurance, and required regulatory filings and reporting. Coordinates repairs and preventative maintenance scheduling that support fleet vehicle availability requirements. Additionally, Fleet Administrator may assist with safety training and communication programs. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Fleet Administrator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Job Summary:The Fleet Administrator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company’s fleet of vehicles. They ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained and serviced.
Essential Functions:- Maintain records of company-owned or leased fleet equipment.
- Create records of the description, value, location, and other pertinent information on each fleet item.
- Data entry of all records into software, TMW and TMT.
- Assist with the tolls and transponder program. Record retention of transponder units.

Other Skills & Requirements:- High School diploma or GED.
- Knowledge/experience with TMW and TMT platforms is a plus.
- Technical skills: troubleshoot computer systems, software, and hardware. Create and update databases, and manage and track data and company records.
- Communication skills: the ability to communicate with customers and operations staff and resolve issues.
- Problem-solving skills: working with multiple departments and teams to ensure the company’s fleet is operating effectively. Finding solutions to software, hardware, or fleet issues.
- Organizational skills: Managing a variety of records, including vehicle maintenance records, insurance information, and other important documents.
- Leadership skills: responsible for managing records pertaining to the company’s fleet equipment.
