Our organization is looking for a tax preparer to join our team and provide support to our office.

Responsibilities:

Gather and analyze financial information from clients for accurate tax preparation.

Calculate taxes owed or refunded based on current tax laws.

Maximize deductions and credits to optimize tax savings legally.

Provide tax planning advice for future financial decisions.

Review and file individual and business tax returns on time.

Address client inquiries and support during tax audits.

Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.

Stay updated on tax laws through continuous education.

Ensure data security and proper recordkeeping.

Engage in business development and marketing activities for growth.

Handle compliance reporting, including business tax returns and 1099s.

Qualifications for Tax Preparer:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (this is a plus not required)
• 2-3 years relevant experience working in tax preparation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with depreciation schedules
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Willingness to learn
• Teamwork attitude

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 34 – 40 per week
