Top Tier Investment Banking firm looking for a Middle Office professional to join their growing team. This will be a CONTRACTOR role for 3 to 6 months with strong potential to convert to a permanent role. This is an excellent opportunity to support the Fixed Income Trading Desk. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, support and P&L generation | attribution for the Fixed Income trading desks; saving and maintaining market data, trade support, daily risk reporting; project management of business initiatives, participation in user acceptance testing | working group conference calls for industry initiatives and maintaining operational procedures. Candidate must possess the ability to understand and explain P&L attribution to the trading desk and Risk Management and will also work with our sales, payments, documentation, technology and finance groups for any necessary reconciliations and inquiries.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of how capital markets work within a trading environment and have at least 5 years of experience in either a middle office support role and/or equivalent experience in supporting a Fixed Income trading desk.
Ideal candidate should have a strong skill set of profit and loss attribution (Greek based PL), strong understanding of derivative pricing and operational experience pertaining to capital market transactions.
Candidate must be able to effectively prioritize while multi-tasking.
The candidate must have the ability to work in a fast-paced and consistently changing environment.
The person must be detail-oriented and respond in a timely manner to ad hoc requests.
Candidate must be strong in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, and VBA.
Experience with trading applications such as Bloomberg and Broadridge is strongly preferred.
A 4-year degree from an accredited university is required.
Graduate work and/or other professional designations (MBA, CFA, etc.) is preferred.
This role will be HYBRID out of the Charlotte, NC office.
