Required knowledge also includes an understanding of the operation and use of manual fire alarm boxes, automatic fire detectors, audible and visual signaling appliances, annunciators, and other basic components of a fire alarm system. Must be able to stand, kneel, squat, and shimmy in and out of small spaces on a regular basis.
     
    Job Description – Fire Alarm Technician
    Requirements:
    • 5 years of experience in testing, inspecting, and repairing Fire Alarm Control Panels and devices
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • NICET I or II a plus or working towards obtaining NICET Level I
    • CSA (REQUIRED)
    ·         Organization and problem solving
    ·         Sprinkler knowledge a plus
    • Must have a valid Driver's license in good standing
    Responsibilities:
    • Perform testing, inspections, and repairs on Fire Alarm Systems and it’s supporting devices
    • Working knowledge of NFPA and IFC codes
    • Complete and review inspection reports accurately prior to these results being sent to customers and AHJ’s
    • TI’s and small installs
    • Perform troubleshooting, services, and repairs if necessary
