We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Permanent Fire Alarm Engineer to join our dynamic team. This exciting role is at the heart of our mission to protect lives and property. As a Fire Alarm Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems in a variety of settings. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, install, maintain and repair fire alarm systems in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications. 2. Conduct regular inspections and tests of fire alarm systems to ensure optimal functionality. 3. Troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum system efficiency. 4. Collaborate with design and engineering teams on the integration of fire alarm systems into larger security and building automation systems. 5. Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of all installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair activities. 6. Provide technical support and training to customers, explaining complex technical issues in an understandable manner. 7. Stay current with the latest developments in the field of fire alarm technology and engineering, applying this knowledge to improve system performance and reliability. 8. Work closely with other team members to ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field, or equivalent technical training. 2. A minimum of 3 years' experience in fire alarm engineering, with a focus on system design, installation, and maintenance. 3. Proficient in the use of fire alarm engineering software, such as EST3 and Notifier. 4. NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems is required. 5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues. 6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical customers. 7. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 8. Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills. 9. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing work as needed. 10. Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning in the field of fire alarm engineering.
