    Responsible for managing all aspects of Compartment Management projects and contracts for Specialty Vehicles, to include Fire & Emergency Vehicles. Will work with customers, design team, and engineering to analyze and estimate project cost for sales pricing and bids, preparing technical contracts and administering sold contracts while working with customers/dealers to assure solutions meet and exceed their expectation as a project moves through the RFQ/bid stage, pre-construction, construction stage, and final inspection/delivery. Develops and maintains strong working relationships to act as the liaison with sales team, dealers, end user customers and internal team including but not limited to finance and admin, design, engineering, and production. Field inquires to authorize warranty as well as develop costing for parts to support vehicles already in service from previous contracts.

    Duties and responsibilities
     
    • Will regularly use proprietary configure, price, quote, and (CPQ) design software.
    • Supports adherence to document package generated by proprietary CPQ software.
    • Participates in reporting of division performance KPIs vs project estimates.
    • Participates in all pre and post sales activities for Compartment Management opportunities to ensure understanding and technical complexities.
    • Schedules the jobs in queue through compartment management and communicates the timeline with internal and external customers.
    • Communicates the design/build opportunities with customer and coordinates customer change order processes as needed.
    • Analyzes contracts to estimate and resolves discrepancies with customers and or dealers prior to and during production of their upfit.
    • Analyzes specifications, drawings, and other information to prepare accurate and timely material and labor estimates for bids.
    • Has an ability to manage multiple projects with hard deadlines simultaneously.
    • Provides regular status updates to the customers and dealers on the progress of their vehicle upfit(s).
    • Attends industry events in support of role as needed, i.e. FDIC and like trade shows.


    Qualifications
     
    • An Engineering Background with 5-10 years of experience working with Specialty Vehicles, i.e. Emergency Response Vehicles, Utility Trucks, Tow Trucks etc.
    • 5-10 years of sales experience or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Ability to establish and maintain professional and courteous relationships with internal and external customers.
    • Experience with ERP and or sales software / sales configurator systems
    • Experience working with KB Max is a bonus.
    • Excellent usage of a computer and its operating systems, i.e. Microsoft Office products.
    • Ability to coordinate with various entities at the same time.
    • Self-motivated, detail-oriented individual

    • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
    • Proactive, hands-on approach and attitude
    • Willingness to learn, improve, and adapt.
    • Attention to detail, time management skills, and a positive attitude.

    Working conditions
     
    • Up to 10% travel
    • Fast paced environment, including significant multi-tasking and adherence to tight schedules and timelines.
    • Moderate noise
    • Ability to work alone or in a group setting.
    • The emergency services industry operates on a 24/7 schedule. Although exceptions will be managed, meetings may be required outside of regular business hours.
    Physical requirements
     
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
    • Light to moderate lifting is required.
    • Regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate.
    Additional Information
    • Pay Range: $65,000-$75,000 annually.
    • Onsite Position - Springfield, Ohio
    • Monday through Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm (some flexibility required)
