Fire Inspector Supervisor oversees the inspection of fire-damaged dwellings to determine cause and prevention. Enforces a variety of fire laws, regulations, and policies. Being a Fire Inspector Supervisor requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with at least 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Additionally, Fire Inspector Supervisor relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May direct and lead the work of others. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.     JOB REQUIREMENTS
    • Must have some basic knowledge of pipefitting, and/or related plumbing regulations and fire protection codes and standards
    • A strong interest in having the ability to understand and learn NFPA code compliant fire sprinkler installation through industry supported education and on the job training with experienced and licensed sprinkler fitters
    • Must have the ability to understand construction blueprints and relate NFPA fire protection system designs with the field installation process
    • Have the ability to work safely and gain a minimum of OSHA 10 safety certification
    • Utilizes hand tools, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic power tools
    • Work well with other team members under the direction of a licensed sprinkler fitter
    • Effective communication and negotiation with other construction trade personnel
    • A valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record.
    Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
