Fire Inspector Supervisor oversees the inspection of fire-damaged dwellings to determine cause and prevention. Enforces a variety of fire laws, regulations, and policies. Being a Fire Inspector Supervisor requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with at least 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Additionally, Fire Inspector Supervisor relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May direct and lead the work of others. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.     This entry level position is considered a trainee who is learning the mechanics of fire alarm system, security system, CCTV Cameras and Access Control system installation and service.

    This position will assist with the performance of routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance under direct supervision.

    In addition, this role will support the diagnosis and evaluation of systems that require servicing as well as troubleshooting issues that arise during inspections.

    This position may install and test systems under the close guidance of an experienced Technician. Position receives guidance and direction regarding day-to-day work tasks from an experienced Technician.

    Job Responsibilities :

    • Assist in testing, inspecting, servicing and installing small fire alarm systems, security systems, cameras / CCTV, access control and other low voltage systems.
    • Troubleshoot and repair systems
    • After 90 days of employment will be eligible to begin the company paid apprentice program.

    Job Requirements :

    • Electrical aptitude such as home or general electrical repairs is a plus.
    • Current fire alarm apprenticeship training is a strong plus but not required.
    • Must possess a valid drivers’ license with a good driving record

    Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
