Fire Inspector jobs in Killeen, TX
Fire Inspector conducts inspections of new and existing buildings to ensure compliance with fire and safety codes. Prepares reports and issues violation documents. Being a Fire Inspector documents and defines actions needed to resolve non-compliance situations. Conducts fire investigations. Additionally, Fire Inspector has extensive knowledge of codes, ordinances, construction materials, and alarm systems. Typically requires an associate degree in fire science or equivalent. Has completed fire inspection training and may require the Certified Fire Inspector I (CFI) credential and applicable State License. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Fire Inspector is capable of working on complex problems and exceptions without direct supervision. Has a wide and comprehensive understanding of both general and specific aspects of the job. Oil States is currently looking for a qualified candidate for the position of Quality Inspector I in Lampasas, TX.
POSITION SUMMARY :
Ensures products produced meet customer or in-house quality and specifications requirements. Identifies, records, evaluates and recommends solutions to quality problems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Inspects in-process parts visually and dimensionally using required instruments.
- Completes reports and related paperwork.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
- Mathematical skills (addition / subtraction, multiplication / division, algebra).
- Conversions of decimals to fractions and vice versa.
- Utilize blueprints, charts and graphs, customer drawings and specifications.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Moderate bending
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Extended walking, standing and / or sitting.
- Able to climb stairs.
- Must be able to work in temperatures over 100 F
