Fire Inspector conducts inspections of new and existing buildings to ensure compliance with fire and safety codes. Prepares reports and issues violation documents. Being a Fire Inspector documents and defines actions needed to resolve non-compliance situations. Conducts fire investigations. Additionally, Fire Inspector has extensive knowledge of codes, ordinances, construction materials, and alarm systems. Typically requires an associate degree in fire science or equivalent. Has completed fire inspection training and may require the Certified Fire Inspector I (CFI) credential and applicable State License. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Fire Inspector is capable of working on complex problems and exceptions without direct supervision. Has a wide and comprehensive understanding of both general and specific aspects of the job.     Conduct Quality Control to achieve internal, customer and regulatory requirements.

    Duties and Responsibilities :

    • Conduct Quality Control according to Quality control procedures.
    • Assessment of Product Quality.
    • Identify Product Defects.
    • Record defects - documentation both electronically and hard copy.
    • Report identified issues.
    • Support analysis of quality data obtained for Quality Metrics (i.e. gigs,).
    • Assessment of completed rework.
    • Close attention to detail.
    • Support Process Improvements.
    • Understand and carry out oral and written directions in English
    • Function with a minimal amount of supervision or no supervision.
    • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those in contact on a day-to-day basis.
    • Meet minimum standards of safety per assigned department.
    • Support Lean Activities for Documentation issues.
    • Be compliant with all the rules of conduct and attendance per the company handbook.
    • Other duties and responsibilities as required.
    • Perform follow up verification to corrective actions and preventive actions when required

    Qualifications :

    • Understand Standard Work.
    • Ability to read, writes, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English.
    • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, assembly drawing, schematics and other written or verbal instructions presented in English.
    • Ability to read English tape measures and use measuring devices.
    • Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
    • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the
    • organization.
    • Must maintain a positive rating as described in the training / qualification evaluation record as a QC Coordinator.
    • Ability to use Microsoft office, Word, Excel

    Education and Experience :

    • High School graduate or GED
    • Basic Knowledge of Microsoft office (specifically word, and excel
    • Knowledge of Ambulance based electrical and mechanical systems

    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
    • Hand-Eye coordination.
    • Ability to work in noisy and dusty conditions.
