Fire Inspector conducts inspections of new and existing buildings to ensure compliance with fire and safety codes. Prepares reports and issues violation documents. Being a Fire Inspector documents and defines actions needed to resolve non-compliance situations. Conducts fire investigations. Additionally, Fire Inspector has extensive knowledge of codes, ordinances, construction materials, and alarm systems. Typically requires an associate degree in fire science or equivalent. Has completed fire inspection training and may require the Certified Fire Inspector I (CFI) credential and applicable State License. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Fire Inspector is capable of working on complex problems and exceptions without direct supervision. Has a wide and comprehensive understanding of both general and specific aspects of the job. Summary of the Position: Inspector’s ensure that the guestrooms are cleaned and sanitized meeting the standards of cleanliness; and ready for guest accommodations while complying with safety standards / security procedures. This position is responsible for inspecting the Housekeepers’ work daily ensuring guest rooms are ready for occupancy while meeting guest expectations and brand standards. Assist with other duties in the Houseperson and Housekeepers duties and, on occasion, assist with light-duty maintenance work.
