Fire Fighter is responsible for rapid response to fires, accidents, and other emergencies to protect people, property, and the environment. Works with firefighting teams to control and extinguish fires and safely manage hazardous materials. Being a Fire Fighter performs search and rescue, responds to auto accidents, and provides emergency medical services. Uses and operates fire tools, equipment and apparatus as effectively and safely as possible. Additionally, Fire Fighter performs routine maintenance and inspection of firefighting equipment and gear to ensure proper condition and preparedness for emergencies. Prepares post-incident reports as required. May participate in fire safety education and inspection activities. Typically is required to pass periodic physical ability tests. May require registry in NREMT. May require an associate degree in fire science. Requires Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Fire Fighter works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.     The Role

    • Creates proposals based on the identified discrepancies from inspection reports
    • Coordinates work schedule once proposals are signed and parts are in
    • Coordinates with subcontractors for proposals
    • Owns maintenance of service inventory
    • Coordinates pickup and/or delivery of parts from vendors
    • Assists the Service Manager with permitting, project proposals, and project tracking
    • Performs customer service and administrative functions at the Tacoma office to ensure effective communication with management, callers, customers, and staff
    • Answers company phones, provides information, and directs callers to the appropriate parties
    • Expedites and ensures accuracy with all administrative correspondence
    • Performs general data entry
    • Responds efficiently with internal and external customers regarding the status of multiple documents and projects
    • Prepares documentation for the management and/or executive staff as requested
    • Maintains files, tracking logs, reports, spreadsheets, and special projects
    • Performs administrative duties as needed to perform projects to completion
    • Works in partnership with a diverse employment environment
    • Interacts effectively with internal and external customers
    • Creates service work orders, quotes, purchase orders, and invoicing

    The Necessities

    • Previous customer service department experience
    • Valid state driver’s license

    • Previous security industry, construction industry, or other similar experience

    Pay range is $24 - $29 per hour for well-qualified candidates.
