Fire Sprinkler Designer/Estimator

At Tier 1 Fire Protection, we are looking to expand our team and our services! The position of Fire Sprinkler Designer/Estimator will be to design fire protection systems for commercial and industrial projects. All layouts should comply with NFPA, up-to-date building codes, and the scope of work based on project documents. Our expectations include being experienced with NFPA, hydraulic calculations, and pre-fabrication project listing.

No remote work will be available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare layout of sprinklers and piping for estimating projects
• Design fire sprinkler systems
• Coordinate design efforts working with customers, general contractors, and architects
• Prepare 2- and 3-dimensional construction documents using AutoSprink

Qualifications

• Desire to lead and learn with intentions to grow with the company
• Knowledge of state building codes, NFPA 13, 13R, 13D, NFPA 14, NFPA 16, NFPA 20
• Proficient in AutoCAD, HydraCAD, or AutoSprink
• Knowledge of Hydraulic Calculations
• Ability to produce NFPA compliant submittal drawings
• NICET Certification preferred
• Ability to site survey
• Two years (2) design experience in fire sprinkler systems
• Must prioritize effectively, have good follow-through, and practice self-implemented quality control measures
• Must be able to list appropriate material to achieve project tasks
• Able to communicate well in writing and speaking

Salary can be negotiated based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $100,000.00 per year
