FIRE CAPTAIN manages a team of firefighters. Ensures all equipment is properly maintained and serviced. Being a FIRE CAPTAIN directs training and conditioning activities. Administers the staff work schedule to ensure adequate coverage. Additionally, FIRE CAPTAIN leads and coordinates responses to fire events, hazardous material incidents, auto accidents, and search and rescue operations. Prepares post-incident reports as required. Leads or coordinates fire safety education and inspection activities. Typically is required to pass periodic physical ability tests. May require registry in NREMT. Typically requires an associate degree in fire science. Requires Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic. Typically reports to a manager. The FIRE CAPTAIN manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a FIRE CAPTAIN typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. About the Opportunity
Liberty Fire Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Kitchen Fire Suppression. This position requires the ability to service, inspect and repair kitchen suppression systems and fire extinguishers for established customers on a scheduled basis.
Salary - Paid per hour and is based on experience
Duties
Inspecting and repairing pre-engineered restaurant fire suppression systems manufactured by ANSUL, Amerex, Pyro Chem, Range Guard and Piranha.
Thorough understanding of NFPA, manufacturer and local fire codes for restaurant fire suppression systems.
Performing on-site emergency troubleshooting of fire suppression systems.
Identifying NFPA code and non-conformance issues.
Maintain proper documentation for all work performed.
Perform fire marshal tests and inspections.
